Nature LovesLightly fleeting
the moon called to the stars
basking in its elegance
they watched as
brown leaves
fall from
quavering
branches of the old oak
each piece
the leather of its soul
Someone Up There Having Funeach raindrop seemed
to weigh more
than the lifeless
branches as they
fell in buckets
from the sky
little leaves
hanging on
to the tree
by only a thread
dropped with silence
from the tears
and sorrows
the next drop carried.
FatesHer silence was the one
that kept her bound
her envy, a power
sure to astound.
her mind told her
to stay and fight
but her soul
wanted to take flight
she was not
the one to mock
as the people came in flocks
her conscience said
to stay and wait
but they knew
it was only too late.
TrekkerThe falling snow
knit a blanket
of silence
around the world,
only interrupted
by the soft thud
of footprints.
With each step
the trees
reached their arms
up to the sky
and embraced
the snow flurries
to take them a
away.
Their fingers
spread out
to grasp the clouds
as every twist
in the branches
brought them closer
to a new beginning
The wind stopped
and the snowcaps
became silent
still,
as the lonely
trekker made his way across
the peak
of the mountain
and out of the
shadows.
The light
engulfed his soul.
